Proteas appoint Conrad as all-format coach

South Africa have named Shukri Conrad as their head coach in limited-overs cricket, expanding his role as lead of the Test side.

Conrad had led the national team in red-ball cricket since 2023, leading them to their upcoming World Test Championship final against Australia. He will now take charge of the Proteas in one-day internationals and T20s, with his contract running through to the 2027 World Cup, which is to be co-hosted by South Africa.

Conrad succeeds limited-overs coach Rob Walter, who resigned in April having taken his side to the last four of the 2023 World Cup and the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. (Agencies)
