Over 1,500 athletes for Junior Nationals

Over 1,500 athletes have already submitted their applications for the junior national athletic championship 2025, which will be conducted by Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA).

The tournament is scheduled to be held from June 12 to 15 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama.

The tournament will be held in four age groups: Under-16, Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 for Men and Women.

The meet will also serve as the final pool selection in preparation for the fourth Asian Youth Games 2025 in Manama, Bahrain from October 21 to 31. SLA are hoping to recommend at least 10 top athletes to the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, in view of this meet.
