Mercantile Hockey League 2025 begins today

The Mercantile Hockey League 2025, organized by the Mercantile Hockey Association, is all set to begin today at the iconic Astro Turf, Colombo 07, bringing together Sri Lanka’s top corporate hockey talent for an exhilarating showdown. This year’s league features a thrilling line-up across three divisions: A, B, and C, showcasing over 13 leading corporate teams.

The opening day will feature six high-octane matches, kicking off at 8:00 AM with a clash between MAS Holdings and Sampath Bank from the A Division. The action continues throughout the day, with notable encounters such as the JKH vs. Hayleys match in the afternoon. The final game of Day 1 will see HNB A face off against Commercial Bank, promising a nail-biting finish to an action-packed opener.

A Division – Singer Trophy: HNB A, Commercial Bank, MAS Holdings, Sampath Bank, Seylan Bank
B Division – MHA Trophy: Browns, John Keells, CIAP, Hayleys
C Division – MHA Trophy: HNB B, NTB, Hemas, DPMC

Spanning across four weekends, the tournament will conclude on May 24, with decisive battles determining divisional champions.
