Matale, Colombo win District hockey titles

Matale Schools and Colombo Schools won the Boy’s and Girl’s Championship at the 58th Sri Lanka Inter-District Combined Schools Hockey Tournament 2025 held at the Reid Avenue Hockey Turf in Colombo.

The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association with the participation of 23 boys and girls combined teams.

In the Boy’s final, the Matale team defeated the Colombo team 3-2. This was the second consecutive time that the Matale team won the championship.

Meanwhile, the third place was won by the Puttalam team and the fourth place was won by the Kandy team.

The Girl’s final was played between Colombo and Puttalam teams. The Colombo team won the Girl’s championship by recording a 2-0 victory.

The Matale team won third place, and the Galle team won fourth place.
