SSC and Army SC qualified to the final of the Major Club T20 cricket tournament when they came out victorious in the semi-final encounters played at the NCC ground yesterday. SSC dashed the hopes of defending champions CCC repeating the title when they recorded a comfortable 32-run win in the match played in the morning session.
Army SC in contrast had little difficulty in brushing off the challenge of Kurunegala YCC whom they outclassed by nine wickets in the match played in the evening session. SSC and Army SC will clash for supremacy in the final scheduled to be played on March 20 at 2.00 p.m. at the SSC ground.

At NCC – SSC won 32 runs
SSC: 159 for 4 in 20 overs (Avishka Fernando 65, Nipun Dhananjaya 34, Malinda Pushpakumara 2/33)
CCC:127 in 19.3 overs (Ron Chandragupta 55, Ashan Priyanjan 21, Prabath Jayasuriya 3/16, Jeffrey Vandersay 2/17, Himesh Ramanayake 2/23, Tharindu Ratnayake 2/29)
At NCC – Army SC won by nine wickets
