Scores: Lucknow Super Giants 209 for 3 in 19 overs (Mitchell Marsh 111) Royal Challengers Bangalore 203 for 6 in 19 overs (Rajat Paditar 61, Prince Yadav 3 for 33)
In what would have been one of the most stunning dismissals of a batsman, Royal Challengers Bangalore heart-trob Virat Kohli was clean bowled for a second ball duck as his team lost to bottom-of-the-table Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their IPL match on Thursday.
Kohi entered the crease after opener Jacob Bethel was dismissed by Mohammed Shami in the first over as RCB the defending champions were in pursuit of a 214 target.
Lucknow Super Giants batting first ended their innings at 209 for 3 in 19 overs after the match was disrupted by rain and the target revised to 214
The jubilant bowler paceman Prince Yadav got a ball through the gate to shatter Kohli’s stumps and LSG went on to win the match as RCB were restricted to 203 for 6 in the 19 overs.
Before the match Kohli had an aggregate of 379 runs from 10 matches.
Earlier Mitchell Marsh’s century (111) helped LSG who were put into bat pile up 209-3 in 19 overs in between rain delays.
Australian Marsh’s century came from 49 balls, the fastest by a Lucknow player in the IPL.
Lucknow remain bottom of the standings but are now level on points with Mumbai Indians.
