Kandy Schools ‘Blue’ win U-20 Girls hockey title

Kandy Schools ‘Blue’ team captain receiving the trophy     

The Kandy Schools ‘Blue’ team won the 56th Inter-District Combined Schools Under-20 Girls’ Hockey Tournament.   
 Ten girls teams participated in this tournament which was held at Edward Park Stadium in Matale conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association.   
 Puttalam School team were the runners-up while third place went to Matale School ‘Gold’ team.   
Nipuni Fernando (Puttalam) won the best player of the tournament award and Dilmi Jayalath (Kandy ‘Blue’) was adjudged the best goalkeeper.
