History book on 70 years of Air Force Sports launched

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) recently launched “Glorious Sporting History” a book covering its rich sporting performances from 1951 to 2021, in line with its 70th Anniversary.
 The book encompasses the outstanding sports achievements of sportsmen and women, coaches and administrators of yesteryear who have rendered an immense service to uplift sports in the SLAF as well in Sri Lanka.  

The history book was the brain child of Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the Commander of the Air Force and the President of the Air Force Sports Council. Air Commodore Padman De Costa, the former Secretary of the Air Force Sports Council and Defence Services Sports Board authored the book.
