Gateway College reaches ‘A’ Division Basketball Finals

Gateway College reached the finals of the Sri Lanka Schools ‘A’ Division Under 18 Basketball Tournament 2022 by beating St. Peter’s College Colombo 85-81 at the thrilling semifinal played at HS Blues Basketball courts. Gateway’s captain, Sharo Perera was outstanding scoring 40 points. He was well supported by Inas Iqbal, Vishwa Herath and Sithara Gunaratne who scored 16, 14 and 10 points each.

On their way to the semifinals, Gateway beat the winners of Group D, Lyceum International School Nugegoda 68 -63 at the Quarters. At the group stage, Gateway beat Ananda College and St. Benedict’s College but lost to St. Joseph’s College and Mahinda College.
