The Football Sri Lanka (FSL) elections which has been postponed thrice because of Covid-19 and travel restrictions has been rescheduled to be held on June 22 at Racecourse pavilion, the football election committee has decided.

The elections were scheduled to be held earlier on May 30, June 1 and June 7 but FSL were forced to postpone it because of the island wide travel restrictions. Since the government announced that restrictions will be lifted at 4 am on June 21, the three-member election committee comprising retired judges Rohini Munasinghe, Sisira Rathnayake and Sarojina Weerawardena are hopeful the FSL elections could be held on June 22.
The postponement of elections has affected the administration of FSL with the Super League, which has been temporarily halted, set to resume on July 2. Only 15 matches have been completed in the inaugural Super League, with the remaining 30 games scheduled to be played before August 8
