DIG Medawatta heads volleyball body

The election of new office-bearers for the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) was held at the National Olympic Committee Auditorium in Colombo. All officials were elected uncontested.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Sajeewa Medawatta was appointed as the new President and Wing Commander Akhila de Alwis was appointed as the Secretary.

Meanwhile, former SLVB Chairman Kanchana Jayaratne and Secretary A. S. Nalaka did not contest for any position.
