Top and bottom seeded players Savini Jayasuriya and Janali Manamperi kept up to their expectations coming out victorious in the Women’s Open singles semi-final encounters of Clay Court Tennis Nationals played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday .

The duo won their matches with ease with Jayasuriya overcoming Sethmi Sumanaweera and Manamperi getting the better of Oneli Perera by the identical winning margins of two sets to nil.

 Men’s Open – Luca Knese beat Jaitra de Saram 7-6, 6-2, Sankha Athukorala beat Savit Weerasinghe 6-7, 7-5, 10-8, Akila Vimukthi beat Dumindu Dilum 6-3, 7-5, Thehan Wijemanne beat Dhilvan Herath 6-4, 6-1

Semi-Finals:

 Women’s Open – Janali Manamperi beat Oneli Perera 7-6, 6-1, Savini Jayasuriya beat Sethmi Sumanaweera 6-1, 7-6
