Cinnamon Hotels emerge TTSC shuttle champs

Cinnamon Hotels Management emerged as the new champions as they clinched the team badminton tournament beating Aitken

Spence Travels at the 25th Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) Badminton Championship 2025 concluded at S. Thomas’ College Indoor Sports Complex in Mount Lavinia.

In an all-SriLankan Airlines affair, their ‘A’ Team beat their ‘B’ Team in the veterans event, conducted for Men Over 40 and Women Over 35).

Acorn Group won the playoff for third place in the Open event and Walkers/Whittalls won the playoff for third place in the veterans’ event.

The team event winner, Cinnamon Hotels Management Team comprised of S. Ranathunga, S. Karunasinghe, S. Hewage, Azeeka Annes, R. Mahawattage, K. Benjamin and Dinithi Perera.

The team event runners-up, Aitken Spence Travels Team comprised of P. Devasurendra, K. Mahagedera, J. Kulasekera, N. Lakruwan, D. Kumarasinghe, N. Chathumini and D. Abeysekera.

The veterans’ event winner, SriLankan Airlines ‘A’ Team comprised of D. M. Jayasinghe, W. A. D. Fernando, L. H. de Silva, Sujith Wijetunga, D. Kulaweera and Sanka Silva.

The veterans’ event runners-up SriLankan Airlines ‘B’ comprised of Shiromal Fernando, Namal Rajakaruna, Nalaka De Zoysa, B. C. A. S. Rodrigo, N. Bakmeedeniya and Chanaka de Silva. (BM)
