Chalitha, Reshan to tee-off in Nepal

The Nepal Amateur Open 2025 will take place at the Gokarna Forest Golf Resort in Nepal from June 3 to 5.

Sri Lanka will be represented by experienced Chalitha Pushpika and youngster Reshan Algama. Chalitha’s WAGR is 343 while Reshan is 713.

Sadbhav Acharya, Nepal’s most prominent amateur with WAGR ranking of 252 will be the tournament favourite.

The Sri Lankan duo will be participating in the individual event and team event. The team event will be played over 36 holes. Both scores will count towards the daily team score. The team with the lowest aggregate gross score after rounds 1 and 2 will be the winner. 

The individual event will be played over 54 holes over three days of golf. There will be a cut after 36 holes where the top 60 will proceed to the final round. 

The player with the lowest aggregate gross score will be declared the winner after 54 holes. Meanwhile, Sachin de Silva and Chanaka Perera will play under private entries at this individual event.
