Badminton Provincial Tournament from February 20

 Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) has decided to start the Badminton Provincial Tournament 2023 from February 20.

 A first-level tournament of SLB, the Provincial Badminton Tournament will begin with the North Western Province tournament scheduled to be held in Kurunegala from February 20 to 26, SLB Director of Competition Rohana de Silva said.  SLB is scheduled to conduct 12 local tournaments from January to December according to their 2023 Tournament calendar.
 The North Western Province tournament (February 20-26) in Kurunegala will be followed by Southern Province (March 7-12) in Galle, Central Province Open Summer Season (April 17-23) in Nuwara Eliya, Western Province Open (May 17-21) in Colombo, North Central Province Open (August 14-20) in Anuradhapura, Eastern Province Open (September 13-17) in Batticaloa, and Northern Province Open (October) in Vavuniya.  In addition, SLB plans to hold the Nationalised Services Badminton Open (June 12-18), Mercantile Badminton Open (July 10-16), Govt Service/Defence Service (November), and Nationals Junior/Senior (December) all in Colombo.
