Army men and Air Force women emerged champions at the 13th Defence Services Boxing Championship held at Air Force Base, Katunayake.

Army pugilists swept the podium with their men winning eight gold medals, one silver and one bronze while their women won two gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals.

Air Force women pugilists won three gold medals and two bronze. 

More significantly, Army’s Rukmal Prasanna (men) and Sanduni Priyadarshani (women) were adjudged the Best Boxers of the meet. (AO)
