Antonians could upset Thomians

S. Thomas’ College and St Anthony’s College will battle it out for the Rev. Fr. Angelo Rosati Trophy in their inter school rugby match scheduled for kicked off at 4 pm at Longdon Place today.

Though this is also the Plate Segment of the Dialog School Rugby league tournament the two sides will focus on the trophy clash.

S. Thomas’ will be led by No 8 Mckyl Karunaratne and St Anthony’s by centre Vimukthi Kodikara.

The two sides will be moving into the game with loads of confidence by securing big wins last week with the Thomians outclassing Sri Sumangala 42-10 and the Antonians drubbing Ananda by 48-26.

But the Thomians who are the holders of the trophy and seeking to retain it, won’t have it easy as the Antonians possess a team that could turn it in their favour. 

The Thomians lead the series with 11 wins to five by the Antonians.-MSA
