Ahalya Rajan to defend Bostock Memorial Trophy

The Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) will host the prestigious Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy 2024 on May 11 at their Club Course in Rajawella. Tee off is expected at 7.00 a.m.
Already, more than 100 entries have been received for this annual Board event with the top players in the region, all vying for the coveted trophies.
The defending champion and last year’s overall winner is Ahalya Rajan. She will be in the greens in her home course where she had won trophies in tandem with high quality golf and will be defending her title which she won last year.  
In the Ladies’ Gross segment, Anouk Chitty emerged victorious last year, taking home the prestigious Tony Whitham Challenge Trophy.
The Men’s Gross segment was won by Sanjeewa Wickramanayake who emerged as the champion last year accounting for Ken Balendra Challenge Trophy. The Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy has a rich history of celebrating the legacy of the late Mark Bostock, a respected figure in the golfing community.
The maximum handicap for the main event (Mark Bostock) will be 24 for Ladies’ and 18 for Men while the senior event will be 36 for Ladies’ while 28 for Men’s. The GM’s Trophy will have Ladies’ at 36 and the Men’s at 28.
