Free vehicle tuning dansala on June 10-11

Colombo, June 6 (Daily Mirror) - The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has announced that a special “vehicle tuning Dansala” will be held on June 10 and 11 in front of its head office in Narahenpita.

In a notice, the DMT said that motorcycles and three-wheelers, which make up the majority of Sri Lanka’s vehicle fleet, often do not receive proper maintenance due to economic difficulties, resulting in increased harmful emissions.

The programme, organized for the third consecutive time by the DMT’s Motor Vehicle Emissions Trust Fund, aims to improve vehicle performance while reducing environmental pollution.

Under the initiative, owners of motorcycles and three-wheelers will be able to obtain free vehicle tuning services from some of the country’s most experienced technicians.

The DMT said the programme is expected to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce unnecessary fuel costs for vehicle owners, and help minimize harmful emissions released into the environment.
