43rd Battle of the Golds Rain hampers Kegalle Big Match

Rain hampered day one proceedings of the 43rd Battle of the Golds Inter-School Big Match between the traditional rivals St. Mary’s College, Kegalle and Kegalu MV played at the Kegalle Esplanade yesterday. 

Only 55 overs of play were possible, with St. Mary’s taking first lease of the wicket reaching 133 for eight when the match was called off due to bad weather.
