132nd Sri Lanka Amateur Championship 2022 Amrith moves into top 32

The top 32 Men’s golfers booked their berths for the knock out stages of the Sri Lanka Golf conducted 132nd Amateur golf tournament which was worked off at the Royal Colombo Golf Course in Colombo. Meanwhile  the 116th Ladies event which is played concurrently for F.B. De Mel Cup reached its knock out stages with 16 of them booking their berths.   
Top class golfers, Amrith de Soysa, Kushal Johnpillai and Shanaka Perera too got in to the 32 in the Men’s segment. Meanwhile there was some young talent too in the final knock out stages.   

Reshan Algama, the youngest to qualify an extremely talented golfer at 14 years will be playing Nirek Thejwani who is also one of the top Junior golfers.   
 Thejwani recently took part in a golf tour to Scotland. Young K. Danushan is also another talented youngster who could shock a few leading golfers.   
Junior golfing sensations Haroon Aslam and Yannik Kumara along with Kaya Daluwatte will miss this event as they are in overseas at present.   
Taniya Balasuriya, Anouk Chitty and Anushya Weerakody are the other three top lady golfers in the final 16.
