A certain authority in the government, a patriotic one, is said to be running after ‘commissions’. he has reportedly imposed a ‘commission’ on the imports of a certain kind of metal.

There are five to six businessmen importing this kind of metal to the country. An acolyte of the authority  had recently summoned the businessmen importing this metal and had conveyed an order that had come from above: that  they should pass on him to a ‘commission’ at the rate of Rs. 20 per kilo of the stuff they import.

However, the businessmen had told the acolyte that they could not pay a ‘commission’ higher than Rs. 5 per kilo of the stuff as they too were not making a big profit.  The acolyte had later conveyed the order from above: there will be no more imports if the ‘commission’ at the rate already stipulated is not forthcoming.

The businessmen had later made a complaint about his intimidatory tactics to the higher authorities, they say.
