Unpopular Measures

Unauthorized building in the south removed

It’s good to see the government taking some unpopular measures that hardly get highlighted in the media.
Two examples to mention a few, the removing of unauthorised buildings along the Southern coast and up country,  too.
The other  -- the arrests for corruption and bribery, not only politicians but officials in govt. departments.
These families will vote against the govt. But it’s better to do what is right and correct than winning elections. It will be good for the country and a future govt. should do better. This does not mean that the govt. is always right. Constructive criticism is very good for the country but should not destabilise for selfish reasons. Even the opposition has a role to play support what is right and criticise what is wrong.
This will help our country greatly.
The fault in Sri Lanka is that there are too many Chiefs and few Indians.
