Lessons to be learnt from Cyclone Ditwah!

In the aftermath of the catastrophic cyclone which overwhelmed our motherland with devastating consequence, causing  loss of life and property across the country, we witnessed the commitment and compassion that was demonstrated by our citizenry to help humanity. This sublime gesture that transcended the diversity of creed and ethnicity  of our populace by extending their heartfelt care and concern,  is a defining characteristic that we as a nation can be proud.
The vast majority of our citizenry braved the onslaught of the vagaries thrust upon mankind by this natural disaster to reach out to the victims. The sad and distressing part of this fateful saga,  making every endeavour to extricate those victimised by  this disaster, is that certain politicians with vested interests have resorted to their despicable habit of finding fault with the government.  They allege that the government didn’t take precautionary measures, and were not  mindful of the consequences of this calamity  to act with greater responsibility.
These petty-minded politicians must understand that  this is not the right time for them to squabble  with the government, but to set aside their differences and rally around those who  spare no effort to help the ones that are victimised,  who  now need support to rebuild their lives. Many lessons to be learnt from this tragedy, rather than exploiting it for political mileage, which could be a disservice to mankind who are going through this agonising moment in their lives.  They should stop fishing in troubled waters, now  that  flood waters have  started to recede!
