Garbage at Armour Street Flat

What a shame in this urban sprawl,
Where filth and stench have built a wall.
Is “Clean Lanka” just a hollow call,
While waste lies rotting, after all?
Mosquitoes hum in each dark crack,
A health risk rising in every stack.
Where is the crew to clear the track-
Or has duty too begun to slack?
The Director Solid Waste  Management, CMC - Eng. (Ms.) Shahina M Mysan  
cites some vague dispute,
While residents choke, their protests mute.
Is public health now in refute,
With silence worn as civic suit?
O Mayoress, (Ms.) Vrai Cally Balthasaar;   hear this earnest plea.
Let cleanness be your legacy.
Grant this flat the dignity
Of a space that’s waste-free –finally.
