Work on new roads in Kandy commence

Work on the 52km stretch of road from Peradeniya , Deltota and Rikilagaskada was inaugurated by Minister of Highways Johnston Fernando in Kandy yesterday.  

The estimated cost for the total project is Rs. 3,015 million according to the ministry. Meanwhile, the new road via Senkadagala and Hewaheta towards Rikilagaskada was estimated to cost Rs 197 million.   

In addition work on the Malgaha Mulla, Karadagolla Road also commenced yesterday which was said to cost 
Rs 27.5 million.
