Tamil political parties meet

Tamil political parties in the Northern Province met yesterday to have talks to strengthen the Alliance ‘Democratic Tamil National Alliance’   

Former Parliamentarian Dharmalingam Siddarthan ( PLOT) Former Jaffna Municipal Council Mayor Manivannan of Tamil People’s Alliance, Spokesman for TELO Guruswami Surendran, Srikantha of Tamil National Party, Venthan of Jananayahap Proralihal Kadchi, Former Parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran (EPRLF) , Former Parliamentarian Chandrakumar of Democratic Party participated.  

Parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran told the media that, they decided to strengthen the Democratic Tamil National Alliance and that the all the Tamil political parties are willing to join hands with it to contest the local government election.   

In reply to a query from the media he said accepting the EPDP to join in the alliance, will be discussed and decided with the other parties if they directly express their willingness to join hands.   
However, former Jaffna mayor Visvalingam Manivannan, who represented C.V.Vigneswaran’s Tamil National Alliance that they have not yet decided to join hands with the alliance that that their decision in this regard will be announced soon after taking it up with leader C.V.Vigneswaran.
