Some SJB allies to participate in November 21 rally

Some parties or MPs who are currently supporting the Samagai Jana Balawegaya (SJB) have come up with favorable ideas on the joint opposition rally which is to be held in Nugegoda on November 21 2025 and seemed to be on the fence when it comes to participating in it.
“The joint opposition rally is a good thing. The ruling NPP has already said the government won’t be shaken for a decade. However history has shown that it is not possible to hang on to power for long. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa won the war in 2009 but he was defeated in 2015. Rajapaksas returned to power and was chased out in 2022. Therefore the people should be able to find out the tough,” Opposition MP P. Digambaram told media yesterday.
“People should be able to assess the position of the government. The rally planned for November 21 will show the opposition’s strength. It will be more accurately seen if the provincial council election is held,” he added.
Also he said the government had failed in the process of stabilizing the economy.
