Six nations to compete in “Ambassador’s Cup 2025” cricket tournament in Beijing

“Ambassador’s Cup 2025”, a six-a-side cricket tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing, is scheduled to be held at the Olympic Stadium in Beijing on 13th September 2025, with the participation of 6 teams, comprising Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the West Indies.

The tournament is organised with the aim of promoting the game of cricket among Chinese nationals and is expected to serve as a platform to strengthen friendship, mutual understanding, and engagement within the Diplomatic community through sports Diplomacy.

Ambassadors and Diplomatic representatives from other countries have also been invited to attend the event. The six Embassy teams competing in the tournament are represented by the staff of the respective Embassies and family members. The trophies for the winning teams, best bowler, best batsman, best all-rounder and man of the series will be given away following the tournament.
