SLPP opens 100-bed ward complex in Meerigama Hospital

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna under its community service programme , yesterday opened a ward complex with 100 beds for the COVID-19 patients in the Meerigama Base Hospital. 


The SLPP had made plans to provide similar ward complexes for several hospitals that were providing treatment to the COVID-19 patients.  


The ward complex was handed over to Hospital Superintendent Dr. R.D.Samarakoon by Minister of Tourism- Prasanna Ranatunga and District Parliamentarian Kokila Gunawardene.   


Meerigama MOH Dr. Ruwana Pathirana , Chairman of the Meerigama Pradeshiya Sabha Sarath Nandasiri Ranatunga, and Divisional Secretaruy Prasad Indika were present at the occasion.
