Road accidents continue in Sri Lanka, four more dead

Four people, including a woman, have died in separate road accidents reported from different parts of the country, police said.
Accordingly, on the Balangoda–Ratnapura road at Ellepola, a 34-year-old woman riding a scooter was killed when her scooter collided with a passenger bus.  
In Thangavelayudhapuram on the Pottuvil–Akkarapattu road, a 29-year-old motorcyclist from Thirukkovil 04 died after two motorcycles collided.  
Meanwhile, in Kalubowila on Saranankara Mawatha, Kohuwala, one person was killed in an accident. Police said the suspect responsible for the incident has not yet been identified, and investigations are ongoing.  
Separately, on the Ratnapura–Colombo road at Bandaranaike Mawatha, a pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle. The victim was admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, the police added.
