Heavy influx of pilgrims in Kataragama

A heavy influx of pilgrims was experienced at Kataragama’s sacred city. Thousands of devotees observed Sil at Kirivehera Rajamaha Vihara.   

The religious activities at Kirivehera had been organized under the guidance of Chief Incumbent of the temple Ven. Kobawaka Damminda Thera.   

The programme included Sil campaigns, Dhamma forums, preaching of sermons, and Buddha Poojas.   

Thousands of devotees attended Poojas at Ruhunu Kataragama Maha Devala as well . A long queue of devotees carrying trays of offerings was experienced in front of the Maha Devala.
