Diyawadana Nilame election in crisis with lack of male Divisional Secretaries?

Issues pertaining to the election of the Diyawadana Nilame at the Sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa including the non-eligibility of women Divisional Secretaries to vote, is to be discussed in Parliament tomorrow.   

Allowing only male Divisional Secretaries to vote in the election of Diyawadana Nilame has been a long tradition.   

The adjournment debate in the House that is to be taken up tomorrow which is to be moved by MP Chathura Gallapaththi is to cover this issue and others including the term of the Diyawadana Nilame and the eligibility of a person to hold the position.
