Defence Secretary Kamal Gunaratne assumes Office

Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne yesterday assumed duties as the new Defence Secretary in the Ministry of Defence amid military honours and greetings. Chief of Defence Staff, the three armed Service Commanders, acting Inspector General of Police, Director General Civil Defence Force and a representative gathering of all MOD establishments were present at the ceremony.
