Chinese Ambassador and Pathfinder founder discuss widening of China-Sri Lanka relations

Milinda Moragoda, founder of Pathfinder Foundation, met with  the Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong to discuss avenues for further  widening China-Sri Lanka relations. The meeting over lunch at the  residence of Ambassador Qi provided an opportunity for both sides to  discuss the prevailing global situation, China-Sri Lanka relations,  investment climate in Sri Lanka for Chinese investors and a host of  other topical issues.  Mr. Moragoda briefed Ambassador Qi on the work carried out  by the China-Sri Lanka Cooperation Studies Centre of the Pathfinder  Foundation and stated that several Chinese delegations will visit the  Foundation in the coming weeks, which will enable both sides to better  understand the status of relations between the two countries.   He also indicated the desire of the Foundation to work with  Chinese institutions interested in interacting with South Asia in  general and Sri Lanka in particular.  
Pathfinder Foundation Chairman Bernard Goonetilleke  participated in the discussion with the Chinese Ambassador and diplomatic  members of the Embassy.
