Buffalo found dead with limbs and organs removed

A buffalo tethered for grazing on the Rotawewa tank bund in Hambegamuwa was found mutilated, with its rear limbs and internal organs removed.   

The owner, a resident of the Hambegamuwa colony, told police the animal had died from the severe injuries. He said the buffaloes were tied to graze in the morning, while his father watched over them at night. One was later discovered with its head lying near the carcass and parts of its body missing.   

Hambegamuwa Police have commenced investigations to track down the culprits.
