Biggest challenge to overcome Covid pandemic

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said the biggest challenge in the New Year is to overcome the COVID - 19 pandemic with determination.

“We step into the New Year at a time where we are yet to find out a way to overcome the most dangerous pandemic in the current era.  The whole world is facing a crisis as a result of this pandemic. However mankind had been able to overcome challenges in the history of evolution through sheer determination and confidence,” he said in his New Year message. “All nations in the world should come to an agreement to overcome the current pandemic. I wish everyone a happy new year.”
