Arrested for causing burn injuries

A woman who caused her five year old daughter serious burn injuries with a heated spoon for refusing to attend pre school was taken into custody by the Kandy Police and the Women and Children’s Bureau   

The 32 year old suspect woman is a resident of Nagasthenna in Kandy. The girl who had received severe burn injuries was admitted to the Kandy National Hospital.She was to be examined by the JMO as well  OIC Women and Children’s Bureau CI Amarasinghe is conducting further investigations on the instructions of SSP Anuruddha Bandaranaike.
