16th National War Heroes Commemoration today

The 16th National War Heroes Commemoration is to be held at the National War Heroes Cenotaph in Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm today under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Deputy Minister of Defence Major General (Rtd.) Aruna Jayasekera, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda and Marshal of the Sri Lanka Air Force Roshan Gunathilake who were the commanders of the three armed forces during the last phase of the war against the separatists are also to participate at the event. This is the view of the venue yesterday where soldiers were making preparations for the event.
