Devi Balika Vidyalaya has excelled as a service provider in education and maintained high standards

The pirith ceremony at Devi Balika Vidyalaya is organised by the Board of Management, School Development Society and the Buddhist Association of the school to bless all past and present students and teachers of this institute

An all-night Pirith chanting ceremony will be held at Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo 08 on January 23 to mark the 73rd anniversary of this academic institution.
The ceremony is organised by the Board of Management, School Development Society and the Buddhist Association of Devi Balika Vidyalaya. The religious event will be held under the auspices of Thripitakacharya Ven. Borelle Athula with the guidance of the school’s Principal Mrs. Nilakshika Hapugoda. 
The all night Pirith chanting will be followed by alms giving for 25 Buddhist monks the next morning.
The object of the religious ceremony is to bless the Board of Management, present and past teachers, present and past pupils and the nonacademic staff of the school.
