Lalith, Anusha released on bail

Former presidential secretary Lalith Weeratunga and TRC’s former director general Anusha Palpita, who were sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment were today released on bail by Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga. They were each released on a cash bail of Rs.100,000 with three sureties of Rs.1 million each and their passports impounded. Pix by Nisal Baduge
