People were seen queuing at several ice cream dansals held across Colombo to mark Vesak Poya Day celebrations. The dansals, organised by devotees and various groups, offered free refreshments to the public in keeping with the traditions of Vesak, which commemorates the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Lord Buddha.
