Clogard renews ties with Sri Lanka Dental Association for 17th consecutive year

Clogard, the leading Sri Lankan toothpaste brand formulated with time-tested clove oil and scientifically proven fluoride offering superior protection against dental cavities, recently announced it received renewal endorsement by the Sri Lanka Dental Association for an unbroken record 17th year.
Driving Sri Lanka towards proper oral health, the Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA) is recognized as Sri Lanka’s only national body for oral care and parent body of the dental profession in the country. SLDA is also the sole representative of the Federation Dentaire International (FDI), the international orgnaisation representing national dental associations and specialist groups worldwide.
“Research and development into dental hygiene has proven that proper oral health is part of general health and that there should be no distinction between the two,” noted Dr. Dileep de Silva, President Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA) and Consultant in Dental Public Health. “Our main objective is working to measurably improve oral health through encouraging the practice of brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste.”
The SLDA has contributed towards the improvement of oral health in the island through varied awareness programmes and through its interest in the island’s dental profession.
“SLDA recommends the use of fluoride toothpaste as an effective method in preventing and reversing the early signs of dental caries,” said Dr. de Silva.
