WindForce disburses Rs.231mn of Rs.535.5mn equity for Puttalam wind project

WindForce PLC is advancing the Rs.4.2 billion wind power project in Alankuda, Puttalam, through its majority stake in Safe Power International (Pvt.) Ltd.
The project will be financed with a 75:25 debt-to-equity structure. WindForce’s equity contribution amounts to Rs.535.5 million, of which Rs.231 million was already disbursed at the time of signing the shareholder agreement on October 3.
WindForce holds a 51 percent stake in Safe Power International, with the remaining 49 percent owned by Arinma Power (Pvt.) Ltd.
The company said the investment aligns with its long-term sustainability objectives and commitment to expanding renewable power generation in 
Sri Lanka.
