A leading player in the global luxury wellness sector, Spa Ceylon, has partnered with Shangri-La Colombo to introduce a groundbreaking luxury wellness experience called ‘SleepCation’, targeting tourists, business professionals, corporate teams, or individuals seeking uninterrupted rest.

At the heart of the experience that officially launches next Monday at Shangri-La Colombo, is Spa Ceylon’s globally acclaimed Sleep Intense range, complemented by the hotel’s curated pillow menu, fine linens, blackout curtains, and meals delivered directly to rooms.

“Sleep tourism is a burgeoning area of travel where getting a good night’s kip is the number-one priority. At Shangri-La Colombo, we are proud to pioneer a new chapter in Sri Lanka’s wellness journey with the country’s first-ever sleep tourism experience. Though the concept is promoted by hotels in certain parts of the world, it is not available at the level we are launching it,” Shangri-La Colombo, General Manager, Hervé Duboscq told Mirror Business.

“In partnership with Spa Ceylon, we’ve carefully crafted a sanctuary where every detail is designed to help guests truly let go, rest deeply, wake up and restore. The hotel has allocated 4-5 upper flows for the SleepCation suite,” Duboscq added.

According to Shangri-La Colombo, the ‘SleepCation’ journey of rest begins even before guests arrive at the hotel. Once the booking is confirmed, the hotel’s guest experience team personally reaches out to understand each guest’s individual preferences; from ideal air-conditioning temperature and pillow firmness to interests such as guided yoga or meditation, to personalise every element of the stay, ensuring a hassle-free, serene, and deeply restorative guest experience.

“Beyond personal recharge, we believe ‘SleepCation’ will promote wellness tourism in Sri Lanka, offering a chance to prioritise rest, recovery and holistic well-being,” said Spa Ceylon, Co-Founder & Group Director, Shalin Balasuriya. (IS)
