Joined Amana Bank in its formative stages to set up marketing function as Senior Manager Marketing and Corporate Communications, eventually was elevated to Vice President Retail Banking and Marketing.
Prior to joining Amana Bank, held roles of Marketing Manager and Brand Manager, serving across various industries, including financial, telco and consumer electronics.
Served as Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
Represented Amana Bank and industry as a panellist and spoke in numerous local and international Islamic banking and finance forums.
Was appointed to be inaugural Vice President of the AAFI in 2015.
Played an instrumental role in launching Orphan Care trust, which he continues to serve as a key management member, supporting young adult orphans avoid a ‘second abandonment’.
