Saturday Fortune now on Mondays

In 1987, the lottery that was introduced to the market as ‘Saturday Fortune’ gained such popularity that it was also made available on Wednesdays. 
At present, the lottery known as Saturday Fortune can be identified as the most popular and in-demand lottery in the market. Taking into consideration the increasing demand for the lottery tickets, the authorized dealers have put forward a request to the Development Lotteries Board that they make the tickets available on Mondays once again. Therefore, the Development Lotteries Board has decided to make Saturday Fortune available to the public on Mondays once again. In addition to this, the Monday draw ticket will be in an all-new blue and will be available from February 27, 
2017 onwards.
With the first draw for the all-new ticket happening on March 6, 2017, the Development Lotteries Board aims to further enrich the Mahapola Scholarship Fund, along with the Presidential Fund, in order to provide a better service to 
the nation.
