National tea sales average in Jan. increases by 108% YoY

The national tea sales average for the month of January 2023 recorded Rs.1,466.76 (US $ 4.04). 
In comparison to the January 2022 average of Rs.704.67 (US $ 3.51), a significant increase of Rs.762.09 year-on-year (YoY) is shown.

The analysis by Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers shows that the elevational averages for the month of January 2023 have increased. The High Grown average of Rs.1,395.03 (US $ 3.84) has recorded an increase of Rs.35.25 month-on-month (MoM) vis-à-vis Rs.1,359.78 (US $ 3.74) of December 2022. 

When compared to the January 2022 average of Rs.680.56 (US $ 3.39), another significant increase of Rs.714.47 is recorded YoY.

The Medium Grown average totalling Rs.1,242.82 (US $ 3.42) for January 2023 has recorded a marginal increase of Rs.04.96 MoM vis-à-vis Rs.1,237.86 (US $ 3.40) of December 2022. When compared to the January 2022 average of Rs.626.73 (US$ 3.13), an increase of Rs.616.09 YoY is shown.

The Low Grown average of Rs.1,544.39 (US $ 4.25) of January 2023 has recorded a marginal increase of Rs.10.12 MoM vis-à-vis Rs.1,534.27 (US $ 4.22) of December 2022. When compared to the January 2022 average of Rs.733.69 (US $ 3.65), an increase of Rs.810.70 YoY is shown.
