Investor sentiment turns mixed as volumes moderate

Investor sentiment appeared mixed yesterday, deviating from Wednesday’s buying interest while marked volumes were moderate. 

At the short end of the yield curve, 15.03.2028 traded at 9.10% while 01.05.2028 and 15.10.2028 were seen changing hands at 9.13% and 9.20% respectively. 

Moving ahead, 15.10.2029 maturity also attracted noteworthy activity and was seen trading at a rate of 9.62%. Finally, 01.11.2033 changed hands at 10.60%. 

On the external front, the LKR depreciated against the USD, closing at Rs. 304.3/USD compared to Rs. 304.2/USD seen previously.
