Weather warning cancelled: Met. Dept.

The Meteorology Department issuing a statement this afternoon said that the severe weather advisory, which was issued by the Department this morning for strong winds and heavy rain falls over the sea area, was cancelled.

The Department this morning warned of strong winds increasing up to 80kmph accompanied with intermittent showers or thunder showers over deep and shallow sea areas.
